Not a lot of pictures are provided for this 1987 Mercedes-Benz 190E 2.3 16V but this is the cleanest one I’ve come across for sale and want to feature it on my site.
The 190E 2.3 16V was built as a homologation model to compete in the German Touring Car Championships (DTM) with the rules stated that participating race cars had to be based from a road going model. The street version used a detuned version of the engine but it was still built by the renowned British engine company Cosworth and this 190e is one of the most well known MBs of the 1980s.
I really love these older Mercedes and I’m suprised that the value of them hasn’t exploded like earlier M3s or Porsches of that era. Even though this one is on the high side of 190E 2.3 16V I’ve seen, its also the cleanest and seems reasonable at a $17k asking price. If you’re interested the car is located in Northern California.
