I found this unusual looking 911 on eBay and this 2014 50th Anniversary Edition is 1 of 1963 cars built to represent the year of the original 911 Carrera premier.
Finished in light tan/almost beige color this Geyser Grey Metallic exterior has a retro vibe to it that starts with 20″ Fuchs style wheels. The wheels were popular on earlier Porsche 911s and have a matte black and machine-polished finish on this car.
All 50th Anniversary Editions come equipped with the Porsche Powerkit that increases engine performance to 430hp and includes the Sport Chrono package that enhances performance and adds a analog timer on the dash. Performance from the flat-6 is impressive and 0-60mph takes just 4.2 seconds with a top speed of 186 mph when equipped with the 7-speed manual transmission.
The 50th Anniversary Edition is unique because Porsche uses the widebody from the 4S and mates it to a 911 Carrera S rear-wheel drive layout. This is huge deal and a combination that wasn’t available to 991 911 buyers.
The interior carries on the throwback look with a houndstooth cloth seats which look insane and are my favorite part of the car. The inserts match well with the brown Agate Grey leather and thew hole interior is designed really well.
I think the color combination and look of this 50th Anniversary Edition is classy and refined and I find it a worthy and desirable edition to such a special car. This particular vehicle has less than 12k miles on the odometer and has an asking price of $115k.
