I found this car on eBay and this 2010 E92 M3 is an ex-race car that competed in the the Continental Tire Sports Car series. It campaigned in over 20 races, and though now retired, it would make an extremely nice track day or even SCCA amateur race car.
The stock S65 4.0L V8 engine was recently rebuilt and has 1 race on it. The naturally aspirated power plant makes 414 hp from the factory and even with stock power a lot of effort went into keeping the motor healthy with a PWR custom oil and water radiator was installed. The limited slip was also upgraded and now has a trick cooler pump fan built by Burton racing to keep it from overheating.
Handling is a key aspect on a race car and this M3 is equipped with AST/Koni adjustable dampers and a custom set of anti-roll bars front and rear. The dampers are adjustable and are designed with a external reservoir.
The exterior looks fairly stock except for midsize Sakata carbon fiber rear spoiler and blacked out wheels with Continental racing slicks mounted. The calipers are made by Performance Friction and stand up to the grueling abuse of race duty.
The interior has been totally gutted and I love the crude looking toggle switches mounted on carbon fiber panels. The doors have also been cut and a pretty crazy roll cage is welded in place to protect the driver.
This E92 M3 is no longer street worthy which limits a buyer but for those looking for a well built race car this one looks pretty awesome. The Luxury Collection in California has priced this car at $135k.
